About Us

Since 1977

About

Founded in 1977 by Ian Smith, Maidenhead Fireplace & Stove Centre has become a trusted name in the fireplace industry across the Home Counties. Ian, with his background as a skilled stonemason, and his long-time colleague John Coombes, grew the business through craftsmanship, quality and dedication. Today, the business is run by Ian’s son Charlie and his co-director Lee Giauna, both of whom have worked within the company for nearly 20 years.

Over the years, we have developed a reputation for excellence, thanks to our talented team of professionals who share the same passion for fireplaces that our founders did. We now cover every aspect of the fireplace, including joinery, AV and electrics, and offer a full CAD design service. We also have an in-house sweeping and servicing department to keep your fireplaces running cleanly and safely for many years to come.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was our second project with the amazing team at Maidenhead Fireplace and Stoves! They widened our front room chimney breast and installed a new fireplace to match the one they previously did in our hallway. From Charlie’s helpful pre-sales advice to the actual installation, the whole team was fantastic. They are professional, incredibly tidy, and deliver an exceptional quality of finish. I can't recommend them highly enough and look forward to our next project.
